Mala Compra, a Daytona Beach rock group was formed when singer/songwriter James Richards met local musicians and friends Dwayne Shadwell (Drums), Danny Fladd (Lead guitar), and Tony Marks (Bass) The group met at the weekly Indie Jam Band night hosted by Jesse James at The Patio in downtown Daytona Beach. After jamming a few times at the weekly jams, the group decided to team up, and adapt the music of James to a full band setting, creating the early stages of what is now Mala Compra.
